Taranaki Maunga New Topo Map

The Taranaki Maunga map provides an over-view of the mountain environment for trampers and day trippers.  The popular Pouakai Crossing and Pouakai Circuit on the north side of the mountain complement the testing Around the Mountain Circuit track/route to the south and west. 
The map shows the unique volcanic formation at a large scale, where all major features can be identified, increasing both the enjoyment and safety of walkers.  The unusual biodiversity of the area creates interest at all levels.
The boundaries of Te Papa Kura o Taranaki (formerly Egmont National Park) and other Reserves show the extent of these administrative features.  The combination of the scale,  twenty-metre contours and relief shading, gives a realistic landform.
